LOG316

The road back from methamphetamine, in fourteen weeks.

LOG316 is an educational program delivered inside residential recovery centers, built by a Slavic Christian community in Washington State.

What happens in the room

  1. 1

What the drug does to the brain.

Participants learn what methamphetamine does to dopamine transporters and reserves, and why a craving arrives on a schedule. A flush of heat or a metallic taste is traced back to what the drug is doing in the body. Participants learn to name a craving as it starts and to wait it out instead of acting on it.

  2. 2

The real price of a dose.

Each participant adds up what use has cost in health, time, relationships, work, legal standing and faith, then sets that total against the street price. The numbers go into their workbook and stay on the table for the rest of the program.

  3. 3

    From shame to gratitude.

The same ledger is read again, this time as a record of what family, staff and a congregation have invested in this person. Participants answer that record in writing, with letters of gratitude and a plan for what they will give back.

A week inside a partner center

LOG316 is built to run inside a licensed residential center. The center keeps clinical care, housing, testing and the daily routine. Our team brings the curriculum, the facilitators, the participant workbooks and the measurement protocol, and fits into the schedule the center already has.

How we measure

Every participant completes standard questionnaires at entry and at graduation: PHQ-9 and GAD-7 for mood and anxiety, GQ-6 for gratitude, and a craving scale. Attendance and completion are logged every week. Abstinence comes from the center's own records. The results of the first cohort will be published, whichever way they point.

Who we are

FirstChristian Foundation is a Washington State organization from the Slavic Christian community of Puget Sound. In the Russian- and Ukrainian-speaking churches here, families often carry addiction privately. LOG316 was written for those families first, in the language and the faith they already have.

The program stands on published practice for stimulant recovery: SAMHSA's TIP 33, the Matrix Model, Twelve-Step Facilitation, the Genesis Process, and the group formats of Celebrate Recovery. LOG316 puts the neuroscience first and ties each week to a passage of Scripture, so the material speaks to the participant and to the church that sent them.

Work with us

Residential centers

Trained facilitators, printed workbooks and a weekly schedule slot into the routine you already run, with the measurement protocol included. Your clinical team stays in charge.

Researchers

We run an observational pilot with validated scales and share de-identified data and co-authorship. A university partner for the first cohort is the piece we are still looking for.

Churches

Mentors come from your congregation, graduates get a home group, and the Russian materials are being translated.

The first cohort is in preparation. Write to us to talk about hosting it.
